On Friday, 27th of October 2023 the foundation stone of the new building of “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Bangladesh School” has been laid in Bahrain, funded by the Government of Bangladesh.
HE Mr. Imran Ahmed, MP, Hon’ble Minister of Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, laid the foundation stone of the construction of the new building in the school’s own land at 10 AM local time in A’ali. The event was started with signing an agreement between the Charge d’ Affaires, AKM Mohiuddin Kayes of the Embassy of Bangladesh and the head of Almoayyed&Paruco Company, Jamal Al-Moayyed . Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Employment, Dr. Ahmed Munirus saleheen and Director General of Wage Earners Welfare Board,Hamidur Rahman, Additional Foreign Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,Dr. Mohammad Nazrul Islam were also present.
On behalf of the Embassy, Bangladesh Embassy’s Charge d’affaires AKM Mohiuddin Kayes, First Secretary Iliasur Rahman, Labor Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman and Third Secretary Mohammad Tashir Uddin also graced the occasion.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials of various ministries including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Bahrain. On behalf of the institution, Chairman of the Board of Directors Mohammad Muiz Chowdhury, Vice-Chairman Engineer Giasuddin, Finance Director Engineer Zainul Abedin, Mohammad Safiuddin (CIP), Fuad Taher Shantanu, Principal Arun Nair, AinulHaque, Jalal Uddin , Embassy officials, Journalists, Bangladesh community members ,School staff, Teachers and Students attended the ceremony.
