Principal's Message
“Education is not the learning of facts; but the training of the mind to think”- Albert Einstein
We, the members of BSMR-Centennial School (Bangladesh School) ardently believe that the role of a school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate and empower its students to be life-long learners, critical thinkers and productive members of an ever-changing global society. The institution, which is engaged devotedly in addressing various educational needs of the expatriate community of the Bangladeshi diaspora, endeavours earnestly to empower its students with much-sought-after knowledge, skill and wisdom during their formative years.
When students graduate from school, their entry into the world should be so impactful that it touches the lives of multitudes; and it should be so unique that it remains etched in the minds of those who reveled in it. We want to prepare them so that they can face challenges with courage and accept success with humility. We want them to experience the real joy of living not just obtain a secondary knowledge of it through books. We want them to be known as honourable players and not just winners, as wise and not just intelligent, as understanding and just not knowledgeable, as kind and compassionate and not just friendly. They are guided to learn the art of governance by organizing events and donning the mantle of student leaders. They are taught to be independent in thought but to act within the framework of decorum and respect for others.
The parents are the most strengthening power in moulding the future of children. Their consistent support motivates us to do more and more. I deemed it an honour to extend hearty thanks to all the parents and the stakeholders for their immense support, resilience and cooperation in all our scholastic and co-scholastic endeavors.
